Slimming world - Breakfast ideas for the week

It's so easy to fall into a routine of having the same breakfast most mornings. It's convenient right?! Sticking to the same thing means there's no measuring to do, no time spent figuring out the syns, I get it, I've been there! But, if you're like me and get really bored of having the same breakfast over and over, then here are a few ideas to mix it up.

All Slimming World friendly, and easy to do. 
Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day, I love to mix it up and keep it fresh!

1. Overnight oats

A slimming world favourite. Prepare the night before, and you have an instant yummy breakfast with zero preparation! 40g porridge oats (HE) layered with 0% fat-free yoghurt and fruit of your choice. Keep in the fridge over night and let the oats soak up all the goodness!

2. Scrambled egg and mushroom on toast

I use a small loaf so I can have 2 slices as my HE, and spread light butter (1 level tsp 0.5 syns) and fry mushrooms and scrambled egg in Frylight. Mushrooms are my ultimate fav speed food.

 

3. Weetabix and fruit

I have Weetabix a couple of times a week, but I like to change it up slightly with my fruit. I use semi-skimmed milk as my HE and count the Weetabix as my other HE. If I'm feeling hungry, then I add a yoghurt to the fruit. Strawberries are my go to 'speed' fruit when in season, but blueberries are also great with it.

4. Egg on toast

 
Eggs have to be the most versatile FREE foods on Slimming World. I eat A LOT of eggs when on plan, they fill you up and full of protein. Seasoned with salt and pepper and you have the perfect breakfast. I soft boiled these eggs for around 4.30min and served with a slice of toast (using light butter)

5. Fruit and Yogurt


On a hot summers morning, loads of fresh fruit tastes amazing with yogurt on top. I use Activia 0% fat-free vanilla on top of fruit; I find it really creamy. This is a massive bowl of strawberries and pears, but sometimes I use blueberries, bananas, and grapes!  

6. Boiled Eggs

Boiled eggs are my 'go to' for many things. I buy a carton of 12 and boil them all at once. I have them for breakfast, as snacks and on salads. So easy and it's a quick 'grab on the go' without the syns.

7. Porridge

I always have a side portion of fruit to get my speed food in, but sometimes I make it with Alpro chocolate almond milk (use as HE), sometimes I sprinkle some raisins on top for some sweetness. 

So as you can see, I do tend to use the same foods but using them differently keeps it exciting, so you don't get bored.

  1. I have oatmeal a lot for breakfast because it is healthier than a doughnut but has the sweetness i crave for breakfast. I am going to pin this post though because I'd enjoy a lot of these
