January Goals

Last year I reflected on the month gone by, well this year I'm gonna change it up and write about the month ahead, personal and professional goal setting.

Z E R O  ALCOHOL
I finished December alcohol-free, and I am determined to be alcohol-free until March! We have a wedding to attend, child-free, CHILD FREE. My goodness I'm so excited, no snot, no sticky fingers etc. etc. etc. My sister is having them for the evening too, so it's obligatory that I raise a glass or two, then perhaps a cocktail or three.

I N C R E A S E  FITNESS 
Ok, ok this must be on most January lists but it's not a New Year fad. I've been into fitness for a long time but with the stresses of last year I struggled to maintain a fitness flow. My Jawbone Up broke and the lack of stat tracking made it all so. much. harder! Anyway, that's fixed because hubby got me a Fitbit and it's great (much better than the Up might I add).

In addition, I'm following the T25 programme, I've previously made it to week 9 and felt fricking fantastic so I know it can be done! Plus, there are celebrations to be had!

D R A F T  ZERO
My Literature review is due September and it's a big one. The research team I belong to occasionally set a target to write the first draft of a full paper in 1 month. Paper in a month challenge. 
Not wanting to be Negative Nora, but I am already ready behind target. I thought over the holidays I could take on marking, you know for experience! It's paying really well and it is beneficial BUT it is taking sooooo long, it's so demanding of time that the last thing I want to do is open my lit review. So I wrote this post instead...ooops!
